The motor has 85k miles on it and was installed two years ago. It is not a rebuild but a low mileage motor bought at a pick a part yard. All general maintenance (Cap, Rotor, Wires, etc...) has been preformed and she runs great.

I kept it clean but the paint had lost the luster it once had. The car has been in the family since 1995 and it was time for a full make-over. As you can tell my distant cousins had repainted the bumpers as they were scratched. The car has a CLEAN Carfax history though, so, no accidents!

This was the last week in August I believe. When I started this I said I was not going to take short-cuts. Everything I could take off was cleaned, stripped, and re-primed with only the best material available.

I stripped the hood down then used colored primer surfacers to ensure I had her as straight as possible when blocking.

Both sides had to be fixed. Stess cracks are common in ground effects. I used 3M two part plastic repair resin to repair the areas. They are stronger than new now.

I found this on 3SI.ORG. Came off a 99 and it bolted straight up! This to me was just to cool.

After the final sanding she was was washed. During the wash the jams are scrubbed clean and blown dry with high pressurized air.

The cleaning process took a while because of the amount of sanding trash inside the jams (was worse than expected). This step had to be repeated. By doing so one can cut down 90% of trash inside the paint booth.

From this point I am going to jump to where I got the wheels mounted. I did a lot of work between here and there such as the bumpers, buffing the lights, and reworking the ECS. Pretty much boring photos...

I originally wanted second generation 18s. I had trouble finding a set reasonably priced so, I looked to other vendors. I bought this set from The Tire Rack, I got the wheels (19s!) and the tire for $1200.

I had a stud come loose on the left rear when I was taking the wheels off to fit the new ones. I didn't show the photos of the two hour fight that was ultimately won by the torch! My factory wheels were not hurt though and I had another stud laying around in a hub I had replaced at the beginning of the year. I got out lucky, thank God.

I was just blessed to have the paint come out so slick. I have done body work professionally for 18 years and this is the best paint job I personally have produced.

The interior is stock and in great shape except for the drivers seat. It has a huge tear in it from a screw driver left in a back pocket (I am not the guilty one on this one! Am I Jason???). I will either reupholster the seats or replace them altogether at some point.

As many of you have noticed she is now wing delete, riding on 19s, and sporting Viper Red paint instead of the Firestorm Red. The Viper Red is more of a blood red and is really only maybe three shades deeper than stock... She is not completely restored to original but, damn if she isn't sexy!
